Taking a Customer Order
The order screen is split into two panels: the menu grid on the left and the cart on the right. Tap items to add them, adjust quantities inline, then send the order to the kitchen with one tap.
- 1When a customer walks up, optionally type their name and phone number in the Customer field at the top of the cart. This enables SMS notifications on Enterprise.
- 2Tap items in the menu grid to add them to the cart. Use + / - to adjust quantities.
- 3Tap Charge $X.XX to send the order to the kitchen and proceed to payment.
Kitchen Display
The kitchen screen runs on a separate device and updates in real time as orders are placed. Your cook sees each ticket the moment the cashier taps Charge. Tap Mark Ready when food is plated.
- 1Open the app on your kitchen device and tap Kitchen Display in the sidebar. The status badge shows the live connection.
- 2Pending orders appear on the left. Each ticket shows the order number, elapsed time, customer name, and item list.
- 3Tap Mark Ready ✓ when the order is plated. It moves to the Ready column. If the customer has a phone number, they get an SMS automatically on Enterprise.
Taking Payment
After tapping Charge, the payment sheet slides up. Choose cash, card, external terminal, or Square. Cash automatically calculates change due. Optionally add a tip or discount before confirming.
- 1Tap the payment method: Cash, Card, External Terminal, or Square.
- 2For cash, enter the amount tendered. Change due is calculated instantly.
- 3Select a tip percentage or enter a custom amount. Apply a discount if needed. Tap Confirm Payment.
Customer Notifications via SMS
ENTERPRISEConnect your own Twilio account once in Settings and your truck automatically texts customers when their order is ready. You pay Twilio directly at their rates with no markup from us.
- 1Go to Settings → SMS Notifications. Log in to twilio.com and copy your Account SID and Auth Token from the console dashboard.
- 2Paste both values into the fields and tap Connect Twilio. Your Twilio phone number is detected automatically.
- 3From now on, any customer who has a phone number on their order will get a text from your truck name when the kitchen marks the order ready. No phone number? It skips silently.
Tracking Customers
PROCustomer profiles are created automatically when a name is entered at order time. Use the Customers screen to look up returning customers, see their visit history, and note any allergy information.
- 1Open Customers from the sidebar. Search by name, phone, or email in the search bar.
- 2Tap a customer to view their contact details, total visits, lifetime spend, and full order history.
- 3Any allergy notes you add show as a red alert on the customer row so kitchen staff are always reminded.
Daily Reports
PROThe Reports screen shows a live summary of your revenue, orders, and top items. Switch between Today, This Week, and This Month to see trends. An end of day email report is sent to your inbox automatically when you close your shift.
- 1Open Reports. Tap Today, This Week, or This Month to change the period.
- 2Review Gross Revenue, Tax Collected, Total Orders, and the payment breakdown by cash vs. card.
- 3Scroll to Top Selling Items to see which items are driving the most volume and revenue.
Managing Inventory
PROTrack your ingredients, set minimum stock thresholds, and link each ingredient to menu items to calculate your cost of goods automatically. The app flags anything below your minimum so you reorder before you run out.
- 1Open Inventory. On the Ingredients tab, tap + Add Ingredient. Enter the name, unit (kg, L, pcs), cost per unit, current stock, and minimum stock.
- 2Switch to the Recipe Costs tab to link ingredients to menu items. The app calculates your cost per item and margin automatically.
- 3Use the Variance tab to compare expected versus actual stock and find where product is being lost.
Logging Expenses
PROLog any business cost here as it happens: fuel, permits, supplies, equipment repairs. Every expense feeds directly into your Profit and Loss report so your net profit number is always accurate.
- 1Open Expenses. Tap + Add Expense.
- 2Enter the Amount, pick a Category (Fuel, Permits, Equipment, Supplies, and more), and write a brief Description.
- 3Tap Add Expense. The total updates immediately and rolls into your P&L automatically.
Profit and Loss
PROThe P&L screen pulls together your revenue, cost of goods, labor, and expenses into one statement. Read it at the end of each month to understand whether your truck is profitable and where costs are eating into your margin.
- 1Open Profit and Loss. Select This Month or Last 30 Days for a meaningful view.
- 2Read the Net Profit card. Green means profitable, red means costs exceeded revenue for that period.
- 3Drill into the Statement section to see exactly which cost category is largest: goods, labor, or expenses.
Closing Your Day
When service is over, close your shift in Reports. On Pro and Enterprise an end of day email report is sent to your inbox automatically. Then count your closing till to reconcile the day's cash.
- 1Go to Reports and tap End of Day. Confirm when prompted.
- 2On Pro and Enterprise, a report is emailed to your account address instantly. It includes total orders, revenue, tax, and top items.
